Looking to try something new? We offer several unique modalities that are hard to find!
Honey massage
Honey massage, hailing from Tibet and Russia, is an ancient practice that considerably improves blood circulation in the deepest layers of the skin while toning and strengthening the outermost layers. In addition, it promotes improvements in nutrition and waste removal in all internal organs while aiding in eliminating pain. When applied externally, honey acts as a humectant (in other words, honey promotes the retention of water). During a honey massage, beneficial substances from the honey are absorbed directly into the skin, which stimulates the re-growth of tissue in healing. The antibacterial properties of honey help clear infection in wounds, and the anti-inflammatory action of honey reduces pain. As an added benefit, the muscles are stretched and loosened. A course of treatments is recommended to see results for cellulite.
What does it feel like? The therapist pulls up on the skin after applying a layer of honey to create a light traction resulting in a pumping motion, which stimulates reflex zones, improves circulation, and helps the body in removal of toxins. This process separates the layers of fascia, skin, and muscle in your desired area. However, honey massage is not for everyone—if you are fond of deep tissue, go for it!
Honey massage is included in the deep tissue massage package (you must complete at least 2 deep tissue massage sessions to prepare your body beforehand).
Contraindications: honey allergy, blood thinners intake.
Fire massage
Fire massage is an ancient healing technique with its roots leading all the way back to 5,000 years ago from Egypt, India, and Tibet. This modality is the perfect remedy for individuals recently exposed to the cold or who have joint and muscle pains and aches. Additionally it is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to reduce weight and speed up metabolism.
Contraindications: hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, pregnancy, cancer.
Bamboo percussion massage
Massage with bamboo brooms, or bamboo percussion massage, is a unique shock-resonance technique that is used in Japan and North and South America. This modality benefits the entire body and allows you to target problem areas with ease, using superficial pressure. A massage like this, lacking deep pressure, is a great option for those experiencing stress and who are looking to improve blood circulation and muscle relaxation.
Medicinal oil massage
For each client we pick medicinal oils individually, to fit each and every need. Our catalogue ranges from bodily pains, insomnia, digestive issues, weight loss, general stress, and much more. For optimal absorption, warm oil is applied to the entire body, from the neck to the soles of your feet.
(Please note: we do not offer “exotic massages.” All of our modalities are a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and have nothing to do with adult entertainment.)
